Abstract(in English) | This paper describes the overview of "Research and Development on Elastic Optical Networking Technologies (Elastic Lambda Project)" funded by NICT (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology). This project consists of two sub-projects; A) Technologies for highly resilient elastic optical NW planning, B) Technologies for elastic optical node and link architecture. This project aims to improve spectral efficiency and save energy consumption by the elastic network planning technologies and enhance network reliability against large-scale disaster by maximally utilizing the flexibility of elastic optical network. |
