Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The cerebellum plays a pivotal role in motor learning. Despite a huge amount of degrees-of-freedom involved in movements in the real-world, it can learn with a small number of training samples. To resolve such “curse of dimensionality” problem, we present our hypothesis that the cerebellum controls the degrees-of-freedom by utilizing a unique neural circuit, which efficiently and adaptively synchronizes or desynchronizes neural activities depending upon the stage of learning.
