Room Access Information Estimation Using RSSI on Smartphone by Machine Learning

Abstract(in English) We propose a room access information estimation method by machine learning using RSSI of wireless LAN from smartphone. To acquire the RSSI of the wireless LAN frames, we use the two wireless LAN devices. Using feature quantities obtained from RSSI at these two devices, we estimate whether the user enter, leave the room, or stay in the room. The contribution of our method is no require any special application software for the smartphone and any user’s operations at any time. We confirmed that our method achieves more than 90% estimation accuracy.
