Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) were synthesized via vapor-phase polymerization (VPP) of the 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) monomer. The morphology of the VPP-PEDOT films changed depending on the reaction time, and the bottom-up growth of the PEDOT thin films was suggested. By increasing of the supply of an oxidant during the polymerization, the doping level and the conductivity of the PEDOT films increased, however the Seebeck coefficient decreased. It was indicated that the relationship between the doping level and the physical properties is important to optimize the condition of the PEDOT fabrication for thermoelectric conversion material.
