Broadband Linear to Circular Polarization Reflector Using Modified Metasurface for a Spherical Wave Incidence

Abstract(in English) A broadband linear to circular polarization reflector for a spherical wave incidence is proposed. To suppress the radiation from surface wave (SW), four corners of the square metasurface (MS) reflector are removed. By this modification, the 3- dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 29.8% can be obtained at the center frequency of 9.4 GHz. In this paper, the detail discussion about the principle of suppression of the SW resonance is presented.
