A Study on Contrast Evaluation for Lightness Modified Images for Protanopia and Deuteranopia

Abstract(in English) Color is sometimes used as the information transmission means. However, the color information sometimes cannot be received by color vision deficiencies correctly. We have proposed a method which modifies the lightness in an original image to convey the color information for protanopes and deuteranopes. In this paper, we examine quantitative evaluation methods for the lightness modification results. We propose indices which are based on color differences in original and lightness modified images and those effectiveness is examined through experiments.
