Abstract(in English) A prototype TeleHead system was implemented by combining a table-tophuman-type robot and a head-mounted display (HMD). The head movementsof a user can be tracked three dimensionally by the HMD and the headof the robot can move synchronously with the head movement inreal-time. Plastic figures of the bilateral pinnae, in which a smallcondenser microphone was inserted, were attached at each side of therobot's head and collected sound was presented to the user by aheadphone. Since the proposed system was built with the commercialrobot and HMD, it can provide spatial audio experiences consideringthe head motion of the user at a relatively low cost.
