Abstract(in English) Development of a large-scale Superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SSPD) imaging system has recently attracted attention. The system is expected to be applies in a wide range of fields such as biological imaging, 3-dimensional laser imaging detection and ranging (3D-LIDAR), quantum information and communication technology, quantum imaging and so on. A major issue in the development of the large-scale SSPD imaging system is heat inflow through enormous readout lines. To overcome this problem, we have developed the SSPD imaging system with two readout multiplexing technologies. The first one is a readout multiplexing using cryogenic signal processors based on single-flux-quantum (SFQ) circuits, which we have proposed. The second technology is a new multiplexed readout architecture for a SSPD imaging array, which recently proposed by the NIST group. In this article, we report fabrication and evaluation of a 1024-pixel SSPD imaging array with above new readout architecture.
