Location dependency of BER on VN-CSK illumination light communication

Abstract(in English) Illumination light communications which use LED lights for not only the lighting but also data transmission are received interest for future home networks. Using the lighting function and communication function at the same time is required on illumination light communications. The dimming control function which controls the illumination brightness is one of the lighting functions. The variable N-parallel code-shift-keying (VN-CSK) system with the modified prime sequence codes (MPSC) has been proposed for illumination light communications. VN-CSK realizes the constant data transmittion efficiency if the illumination brightness changes. Moreover, the VN-CSK system with MPSC can mitigate co-channel interference from neighboring LEDs because of MPSC group characteristics. In this paper, the influence of receiver position on bit error performance over a VN-CSK illumination light communication model is considered.
