Food Image Enhancement Using Region Selection in RGB Color Space

Abstract(in English) Food images looks delicious when warm hues are vivid. The food image acquired in low illumination environments do not often give delicious impressions. In this report, we proposed the food image enhancement using region selection in RGB color space. In the proposed method, the lightness is first enhanced. Next, regions other than foods are marked by a user based on the lightness and saturation conditions, and the saturation is enhanced only in food regions. The lightness and saturation enhancements are performed by the conventional method proposed by the authors. In this study, to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, the enhancement experiments using various food images are done.
