Abstract(in English) | In smart devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs that are rapidly spreading, more secure and convenient user authentication means are needed. Therefore, we have focused on the concept of ``context awareness,'' and proposed a user authentication system that has the function of continuous user authentication to continuously check the validity of the user as well as adaptively selecting an appropriate authentication method that is suitable for usage environments. On the other hand, smart devices need to consider the constraints on available resource consumption such as processor performance, battery capacity, memory capacity, etc. Therefore, in this report, by using the usage environment recognition which is the core technology of the system, we propose a user authentication method considering convenience, security, and resource consumption. We also present our evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed method based on some simulation experiments using actual smart devices. |
