Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) GNSS is widely used in aircraft navigation. However, mitigation of GNSS vulnerability is important because GNSS are susceptible to interference. Therefore, APNT (Alternate Position, Navigation and Timing) is required in order to maintain efficiency and safety of aircraft operations in the case of GNSS signal losses. As a relatively near future GNSS backup, current DME(Distance Measuring Equipment) will be utilized in RNAV operation. As a far future APNT, enhancement of DME is one of the candidates. It is known that performance of current DME has been improved through advances over many years. So, this study clarifies the accuracy of current DME by using flight inspection data for the near future GNSS backup. The authors especially focused on the amount and cause of multipath errors by using the multipath simulation. The results will contribute for the construction of the far future APNT.
