Abstract(in English) | IoT services will connect a significant number of devices to the next generation of mobile networks such as 5G networks. We need a new type of directory service system that can store a huge number of records of IoT devices. It should have the capability to store records of various types, perform lookup by heterogeneous types of keys, provide quick lookup service (latency of a few milliseconds), and allow dynamic update of records (latency of a few seconds). It should also be capable to maintain stable performance in term of lookup latency within a desired level despite fluctuation in workload and network conditions. For this purpose, in this report, we present a mechanism for dynamic allocation and adjustment of network and computing resources to directory servers in such a way that their performance requirements are always met. This is a report on our work in progress. |
