Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A typical scenario considered in the current massive MIMO systems is one accommodating about 20 users with 100 or more elements at the base station. In the near future, it may be demanded to accommodate more users. Then, the complexity of signal processing will be much higher. Even in simple spatial filtering, its complexity is n-cubed order. Recently, iterative signal detection based on the belief propagation (BP) has been discussed since it is implementable with n-square order. In the paper, we consider an application of detecting m-QAM signals with BP in a massive MIMO case and evaluate the BER performance. It has been shown that the BP based detection achieves reasonably low BER performance by using additional techniques to reduce the effect of outliers in the belief values.
