Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to fabricate Lithium tantalate (LiTaO3:LT) solid solution ceramics with high Curie Temperature (TC). It has been confirmed that calcium zirconate (CaZrO3:CZ) forms solid solution with LT, and piezoelectricity can be obtained, however it decreases the TC of LT. A part of CZ was substituted by magnesium titanate (MgTiO3:MT) in order to raise the TC. LT solid solution ceramics with TC above 600℃ were obtained by substitution of MT for CZ in LT solid solution . Besides, adding SiO2 as a sintering aid increased the density of LT solid solution ceramics, and the ceramics could be polarized. Although phase shift of all ceramics remained in capacitive region, the resonances in radial-extensional mode were observed. That is, the piezoelectric properties of the ceramics were confirmed. Furthermore, nonstoichiometric (Li0.9Mg0.02Ca0.08)(Ta0.89Ti0.02Zr0.11)O3 ceramics with TC of 608℃ showed phase shift of 56.7°,mechanical quality factor, Qm=1412, d33=6 pC/N.
