Abstract(in English) | This paper compares power-amplifier-inserted transversal filter (PAITF) with 180? hybrids and T-junctions for envelope pulse-width modulation (EPWM) transmitters on power efficiency and modulation accuracy. A computer simulation that combines digital signal processing and microwave circuit simulation shows no significant difference between the transmitters with the two power combining methods. However, the analysis also shows that the PAITF with 180? hybrid can achieve much higher power efficiency than the one with T-junction if power recovery function is added to the transmitter with 180? hybrids. |
