Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, various communication robots have been developed and becoming familiar existence. Meanwhile, since communication robots can’t engage the environment, cooperation with people through communication is important to coexist with people in daily life. So in this paper, a system that autonomous mobile robot recognizes surrounding situation using robot viewpoint camera and depth sensor, and adaptively supports people in cooperation with surrounding people is proposed. Assuming a situation where a person using a wheelchair is traveling by an elevator, transportation of luggage, opening and closing of doors, and elimination of obstacles were set as a concrete assistance. A prototype system on the part where the robot carries baggage and opened and closed the door in cooperation with people and moves to the vicinity of the elevator was made. In addition, experiments on door opening / closing recognition, positive / negative behavior recognition was conducted. Experimental results in our indoor room have shown the effectiveness of proposed method.
