Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to achieve interconnections and flexible network management between networks, an all-optical multiplexing scheme conversion is required. In this report, we proposed and experimentally demonstrated an all-optical 2*10Gb/s NRZ WDM-to-20Gb/s RZ OTDM conversion based on the four wave mixing (FWM) in a highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF). This techniques for WDM-to-OTDM conversion would decrease complexity of the network. The converted 20Gb/s signal was de-multiplexing to 10Gb/s signals by using the FWM effect for bit error rate meansurement.
