Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When micro electrostimulation is given to the primary visual cortex, neuronal excitement propagates to the secondary visual cortex and higher order visual cortices. There are many unknown parts about the mechanism of synaptic signal transduction between the regions. In this study, current pulse stimulation was given to the primary visual cortex or the secondary visual cortex of mouse in vivo, and the spatiotemporal neural response was observed by imaging using voltage- sensitive dye. In addition, we investigated the mechanism of signal transduction through administration experiments of substance inhibitors. The present study suggested that NMDA-type and AMPA/KA-type glutamate receptors contributed to both feed forward and feedback synaptic transmissions between the primary visual cortex V1 and the secondary visual cortex LM but with different temporal properties.
