Abstract(in English) | Optical frequency comb source is expected to contribute for improving performance of a rarefied-gas sensing, and its broad optical frequency bandwidth is necessary to detect multiple molecular species simultaneously. All-optical-gate-type mode-locked laser has several features: wavelength and repetition rate tunability, seed-light-determined spectral line-width, etc. However, 20 dB bandwidth of the output frequency comb was about 600 GHz typically. In this work, we achieved broadening bandwidth to 1.2 THz at -20 dB by shortening a gating time to 0.6 ps. Moreover, FWHM of the output optical pulses was achieved shorter than 1 ps with external dispersion compensation. |
