Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently in Japan, the number of elderly people and the number of nuclear families are increasing. Elderly living alone and their families are anxious about dying alone. We have monitored the television’s operating state (TVOS) in several families and developed a system to watch living condition of solitary elderly from remote place. On the other hand, “Mimamori Telecare System, SUKOYAKA” is on the market as a monitoring device. We examined the relationship between the amount of indoor activity measured by SUKOYAKA and TVOS.
