| Abstract(in English) | In this research, we estimate the number of passengers (NO--SHOW) who do not appear at the airport on the day of departure by using the data of airline company, and evaluate the profit and loss when ticket sales are done based on the estimated numbers of NO--SHOW. Normally, airline companies sell extra tickets based on NO--SHOW numbers, but when too many tickets are sold, airline companies will require additional cost for compensation. We propose to incorporate the cost and the profits of the ticket into the prediction model. As a result, we successfully predict the number of NO--SHOW with fewer costs than the baseline model. |
