Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In cognitive radio networks, collaborative spectrum sensing (CSS), where some of secondary users (SUs) cooperate to detect the signal of primary user (PU), is a technique to improve the sensing performance of secondary users. We have proposed a group formation scheme among SUs for CSS in which each SU aims to maximize its own communication opportunity while satisfying the constraint on miss detection probability. In the previous scheme, we have assumed that communication opportunity is equally allocated to each SU. In general, however, detection performance of each SU is different, and thus there is unfairness that SUs with different detection performance acquire the identical communication opportunity. In this paper, we propose a CSS mechanism based on system load and detection performance in multi-PU cognitive radio networks. Through simulation evaluation, we show that the effectiveness of the proposed scheme and characteristics of formed groups.
