An Error Correction Method for Multi-signal Integrated Elderlies Monitoring System

抄録(和) Currently, many surveillance systems are applied in society, but they mainly concentrate on video acquisition. This often generates huge amount of video data, and these data often make the object/human retrieving very time-consuming. At the same time, electronic signals such as Wi-Fi or radio frequency identification (RFID) are also widely used, and almost everyone carries a smartphone. Each smartphone has a unique number, which can be considered as an identifier of people. On the other hand, many countries are facing the problem of aging society. Therefore, the protection of elderlies becomes necessary. In this paper, a new method is proposed for elderly monitoring. Unlike normal systems, we integrate visual data with electronic signals so that it can help monitoring elderlies under different situations. We match the data of electronic signal (ES) and visual signal (VS) to localize the precise positions of elderlies to ensure a timely rescue when they need help. Furthermore, we propose an error correction method to improve positioning accuracy caused by environment noises.
