| Abstract(in English) | Encryption-then-Compression (EtC) systems have been proposed to securely transmit images through an untrusted channel provider. It is known that social media like Twitter and Facebook manipulate images uploaded by users. In this paper, we investigate how each social networking service (SNS) provider manipulates images in terms of recompression and resizing. Then, the application of EtC systems to social media is discussed based on the investigation. Moreover, block scrambling-based encryption schemes used in the EtC systems are evaluated in terms of the robustness against image manipulation on social media. In the experiment, the EtC systems are applicable to almost all SNS providers with some requirements. |
