Abstract(in English) | Recently in the cellular network, the various kinds of service cells are utilized in the urban area to accommodate the users' traffic which is rapidly increasing. Therefore, many radio waves arrive from different kinds of base stations, and it is indispensable to understand those characteristics of propagation waves to realize the efficient service cell planning. However, it is also difficult to conduct the actual radio measurement with a variety of conditions in those environments. In this paper, we propose the radio measurement method by using the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) on that the radio equipment is mounted. The path loss measurements were conducted in the university's campus. The results showed that the building entry loss ranged from 5 to 10 dB in the cafeteria while it ranged 15 dB to 20 dB in the research building even in the case of front direction of the window. Although the loss tended to increase in the case that the UAV was in the Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) region, the results also showed the possibility that the loss decreased when the UAV was at the position where it received the reflected wave from walls and floor of the room. The results are also expected to be utilized for the service cell planning in the future wireless system. |
