Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nonlinear distortions of loudspeaker systems affect the sound quality and should be accordingly compensated by any linearlzation technique. One of the linearization techniques is based on Volterra filter and requires to identify Volterra kernels of a target loudspeaker. Volterra filter requires huge computational complexity. In this paper, we propose a computational complexity reduction method for the third--order Volterra filter based on singular value decomposition. In the proposed reduction method, the needed coefficients of the third-order Volterra filter are determined according to the symmetric property and the singular value decomposition is then applied to the coefficients. The computational complexity is reduced by removing paths with small singular values. Hence, the proposed method can efficiently reduce the computational complexity. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce the computational complexity while maintaining the compensation performance of the linearization system.
