Abstract(in English) | In this report, we describe about "kintone", which is application service on the cloud, as a communication between faculty staffs and students in the University. "kintone" was introduced to accelerate communications. We have operated "kintone" since 2016. Before "kintone" was introduced, Mailing List was operated to share information, i.e. daily report, weekly report, schedule. The aim is increasing our activities and improving communication quality. After that, a new problem revealed because our activities were visible by recordings the activities on the logs and storing text data in the one place. The problem was difficulty to reuse the information such as text data and to find non-text data. The reuse of the data was achieved by combination of some tools. In other words, the operation sequence through using some tools was too complicated and data was not able to be easily reused. We introduced "kintone" in March 2016 because we needed a simple and intuitive system. Since "kintone" is extensible groupware, it has the advantage that it can adapt to future problems. At first, we use the "kintone" to unify some tools we used. Mainly we use the "kintone" to share daily report and files given by daily research activities. By the results of analyzing the reports and activities, we suggest that student's progress is able to predict from their communication. In the beginning of the year, the "kintone" was extended to improve UI and to connect IoT devices. Students become to use the "kintone" frequently. For instance, they contact other University students and management their schedule. These observation is suggested that our communication quality is improved and our communication range is extended by introducing the "kintone". |
