Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), vehicles move with fast speed, causing frequent changes in network topology. Therefore, the seamless handover technology for vehicles moving between different networks has become one of the major challenges in VANETs. In this paper, a mobile handover scheme is proposed to avoid throughput decrease that the vehicles’ handover brings about and guarantee quality of the s. We use SDN to manage the forwarding data in VANETs when the handover occurs to keep the connection unchanged, so that the application will perform stably without being affected by the lower layer's changes. The concept of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is then employed to help to reorder the data from different sub networks, so that unordered data caused by handover process can be eliminated. We also conduct computer simulations and show that the proposed scheme improves the network performance, as well as reduces the unnecessary traffic.
