Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An application of various sensors for a automobile is studied to realize safety automatic driving technology. A millimeter wave automotive radar has been attracted attention due to effectivity for bad weather condition, such as heavy rain, snow, and thick fog. The authors have proposed a 2D imaging technique for the squint-mode SAR with millimeter wave auto-motive radar. This technique enables us to create the strip-map of the area where the automobile traveled. The strip-map image will realize improvement of the self-position estimation accuracy in poor visibility. In the SAR imaging with the millimeter wave automotive radar, it is necessary to create images while running. To realize such a real-time processing, a fast algorithm is required. In this paper, we propose a simple squint angle compensation method for the SAR processing, and performance of this method is evaluated dy computer simulation. Also, results of experiments on test course show that the proposed method is effective for the experimental data and enables to create the strip-map of the area where the automobile traveled.
