Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the field of occupational safety, risks assessed for the users of machines and facilities may be residual risks. Such risks may be actualized resulting in accidents. The actual procedure for residual risk assessment is as follows: (1) the residual risk of a machine or a facility is assessed while considering its actual operating environment; (2) a system that ensures that it is difficult for the residual risk to be actualized is constructed through technical and administrative measures; and (3) the system is confirmed to be continuously maintained. If an occupational accident is identified as possible in a place in which the system is vulnerable, countermeasures against the vulnerability will be required for the residual risk assessment.
