Propagation analysis of 920MHz band by Ray Tracing method composed of Reinforced concrete walls

Abstract(in English) In order for IoT devices to penetrate widely, appropriate area design is necessary. ITU-R P. 1238 propose general propagation loss calculation formula is proposed, but because it is an equation to calculate the average propagation loss, the material of the wall surface and the incident angle etc are not taken into consideration. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain a detailed propagation loss for the area design of the IoT device. The authors have shown that the transmission loss of the radio wave of the reinforced concrete wall at 920 MHz band has incidence angle characteristics by FDTD method and actual measurement so far. In this paper, we propose a simplified formula of the angle characteristic of the transmission loss of radio waves to a reinforced concrete wall of 928 MHz. We incorporated it into the ray tracing method and investigated the propagation characteristics of the radio wave in the reinforced concrete wall.
