Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical communication traffic continues to increase, however, the transmission capacity of conventional single-mode fiber has now reached the maximum value. Multicore fiber which has plural cores was proposed. Considering the mechanical properties of the optical fiber even though the MCF, the outer diameter of 125 um is desirable. In this paper, we report the Physical contact condition of 4-core MU-type MCF with the outer diameter of 125 um connectors with Oldham coupling mechanism.
