Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We are developing a sleep apnea syndrome sensor (F-SAS sensor) using optical fiber that captures side pressure changes due to respiration as a change in signal light using micro bending loss. We believe that if we can simultaneously record intra-aural swallowing sound and F-SAS sensor system, it is useful for screening of swallowing disorder and analysis of swallowing movement, and simultaneous measurement of swallowing movement and intra-aural click sound. Eight kinds of swallowing optical fiber sheets including 1ch and 2ch fiber sheets newly prepared were compared and the sensitivity was evaluated. In addition to ordinary repetitive saliva swallowing, this time we also got data on repetitive swallowing of water, Mendelson swallowing maneuver, and data from chewing to swallowing. |
