Abstract(in English) | Recently, mobile communication traffic has been rapidly increasing dueto the popularization of smartphones. In the mobile communication, users mobility brings about changes of their ambient environment, andaccordingly packet losses, throughput degradation, and networkcongestion tend to dynamically and locally occur comparing to wiredcommunication. For this reason, throughput might be improved if usersslightly move. It is efficient to provide the information by whichusers beforehand obtain the communication condition in theirsurrounding area. A solution for this issue is the visualization ofpredictive throughput statistically predicted by some measuredthroughput. It brings the improvement of quality of experience sinceusers can avoid staying in low-throughput areas according to thevisual map. For the purpose of throughput prediction in the LTEnetwork, this paper conducts a throughput measurement experimentfocusing on a mobile wireless cell. Firstly, we specify the positionof the wireless base station and the range of the cell byinvestigating the signal strength and cell ID. The influences ofsignal strength and time zone to the throughput is then analyzed. |
