Trial Manufacture and Evaluation of Sensor Box for Fishery ICT

Abstract(in English) We focused on improving productivity by applying ICT technology to the fishery, and trial produced a sensor box capable of accommodating various ocean sensors. The prototype sensor box consists of a small PC, HDD, PoE switch, audio interface, etc. It has a configuration that can be expanded. In this research, as one application of this sensor box, we built our own underwater sound system for collecting underwater sound using underwater microphone group and specifying ship type based on sound crest. We have realized a system that collects underwater sound information temporarily in the sensor box mentioned above and then aggregates it to the cloud server via the private wireless network. As a result of simple experiment, it became clear that ship type can be specified manually.
