Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We numerically investigate decision making based on the tug-of-war theory using fast chaotic temporal waveforms generated from a semiconductor laser. We investigate the effect of the memory parameter with respects to the performance of decision making when the hit probabilities of slot machines are changed in time. We found that the adaptivity of the decision making is improved for small values of the memory parameter, whereas the confergence of the desicion making is better for large values of the memory parameter. We also found that the optimal value of the memory parameter can be obtained by maximizing the average hit rate of the decision making. However, the optimal memory parameter depends on the flip interval of the hit probabilities.
