[Invited Talk] Layer2 technologies in Optical Wireless Convergence Platform for IoT Services

Abstract(in English) Services employing the Internet of Things (IoT) have received a lot of attention with the progress of wireless communication technology. IoT terminal is expected to grow up 50 billion in 2020. Although mobile fronthaul/backhaul is usually constructed as a proprietary system in mobile networks, it is expected for optical wireless convergence platform to accommodate the various services with meeting requirements mandated by individual service towards the further diversification of services. In this study, we discussed the simultaneous connectivity of massive IoT terminals and low-latency layer 2 transmission as issues of the optical convergence platform to accommodate the various services with low cost. Low-latency transmission technique in IEEE 802.1CM is introduced and the design method of low-latency converged network and signal discriminative transfer technique are also presented
