Spectrum-Folding Scalar-Feedback DPD for Wideband Mobile Communication System

Abstract(in English) A novel narrowband feedback technique is proposed for wideband digital predistortion (DPD). The proposed method feedbacks the scalar signals while conventional feedback signal is complex. Therefore the proposed technique can provide a simpler nonlinear compensation circuit. DPD signal processing algorithm using scalar feedback signal is described. Simulation and experiment are conducted to compare the performance of proposed method and conventional one. The results show that they have same performance regarding error vector magnitude (EVM) and adjacent channel power ratio (ACLR). It has validated that proposed method has sufficient nonlinear compensation performance with a simpler feedback circuit.
