Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) consist a large number of sensor nodes. WSN collect various data such as temperature, humidity, speed, and so on. In this case, each node is usually driven by battery energy. It is difficult to exchange battery of all nodes because a lot of nodes are placed large and extensive area. Thus, it is important to extend the lifetime as long as possible. In addition, it is necessary to maintain large coverage area. Coverage area means the area which can be sensed by the sensor nodes. This paper proposes the method that applying sleep operation considering sensing area condition to maintain high ratio of coverage area. Here, the ratio of coverage area means the ratio of coverage area to observation area. We show the advantage of our propose method by computer simulations.
