Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The previous study developed and presented a theoretical model of diffusion of innovation in the context of promoting "Wide Area Brands" under the leadership by the Japanese version of Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) using network externality of ICT. This study follows up the theoretical study by conducting simulation with artificial society applications. A multi-agent simulator (MAS) "artisoc" is used to simulate the situation where innovation is encouraged by DMOs for "Wide Area Brands." The simulation includes not only "Innovators" but also "Detractors" who distract followers of the innovation. After conducting simulations in several settings, this paper presents some useful ideas for utilizing Japanese DMO in the promotion of "Wide Area Brands."
