Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we discuss the reliability of V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) communications for realizing cooperative automated vehicles with wireless connection. In IEEE 802.11p which standardizes physical and MAC layer specifications of V2V communications, broadcast CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) is adopted as an access control scheme. However, when communication traffic increases, multiple signals from multiple vehicles collide and communication reliability decreases. In order to solve this problem, SIC (Successive Interference Cancellation) is widely studied as a technique to enable simultaneous transmission by demodulating multiple signals from mixed signals. However, the mixed signals cannot be demodulated when the difference of the received power of both signals is small, under the environment of hidden node problem. In this research, in order to improve SIC efficiency and its reliability, we propose multiple directional antenna systems which make the received power difference and choose the signal being able to demodulate, by assuming that receiving vehicle is equipped with two antennas and SIC function.
