Performance Evaluation of Collaborative Interference Canceller with Quantization Error and Spatial Correlation

Abstract(in English) Collaborative Interference Canceller (CIC) has been proposed to enhance cellular networks. CIC enables us to a large scale virtual multiple-input and multiple output (MIMO) system between mobile stations (MSs) with a little number of antennas and base station (BS) with a multiple number of antennas. MSs share space division multiplexing (SDM) signals each other which are transmitted from BS after converting to PCM data in a higher frequency band so that the number of receive antennas increases virtually. MSs decode the received SDM signals by spatial signal processing. In this manuscript, we evaluate the bit error rate (BER) and the capacity of CIC with pulse code modulated radio over higher-frequency radio (PCM-RoHR) by taking quantization error and fading spatial correlation into consideration with computer simulations.
