Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | With the recent expansion of demand for wireless LANs, the number of STAs connected to an AP will be increasing. CSMA/CA is adopted as a medium access control method of wireless LAN. However, when STAs are densely deployed, the degradation of throughput and the increase of frame discard ratio are caused by frequent frame collision. To solve this problem, success prioritized CSMA/CA method is proposed. In the success prioritized CSMA/CA, a success transmission STA obtains an opportunity to transmit the next frame without contention. In this manuscript, we evaluate the success prioritized CSMA/CA method while with a number of minimum contention window values and priority levels in the successful transmission STA. In terms of the throughput and the frame discard ratio, we clarify the characteristics of the contention window based on the simulation results. |
