Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In mobile networks, in order to estimate delays at network components such as base stations and servers, a delay tomography scheme using Graph Fourier Transform and Compressed Sensing has been proposed. In this scheme, a measurement path is defined by a pair of a base station and a server, and RTTs~(Round Trip Times) measured on multiple measurement paths are collected by crowdsourcing. Delays at the network components are estimated from a measurement vector, where each element of the vector is given by averaging measured RTTs on each measurement path. The delay tomography scheme is formulated under an assumption that a sufficient amount of measurement data is available on each measurement path. In the crowdsourcing approach, which is based on voluntary mobile users, however, some measurement paths may have insufficient measurement data, which causes the performance degradation of the delay tomography scheme. In this article, we extend the delay tomography scheme to improve the performance in such a situation. In the extended scheme, delays are estimated by weighing elements of the measurement vector according to the amount of measurement data.
