Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Due to motion of user equipment, propagation environments in wireless communication vary over time. In time-varying environments, we need to estimate channels by transmitting many pilot symbols at short intervals, so the transmission efficiency is lowered. Also, the channel state changes during the time interval between channel estimation and signal transmission. This deteriorates communication quality. To solve this problem, it is important to predict channels with high accuracy. In this paper, assuming broadband communication using a large antenna array at a base station, we propose a channel prediction scheme. The method separates multipath signals in the delay and angle domain using the inverse discrete Fourier transform and spatial discrete Fourier transform, and predicts the channels at a future time. Also, we show the performance of the proposed scheme using a cluster channel model. It is shown that the proposed scheme improves the channel prediction performance.
