Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | It is difficult to predict the large-scale disaster such as the Great East Japan Earthquake. In addition, a situation called ” beyond expectation” will arise. It is demanded that damage is avoided as much as possible, and that is restored early. The infrastructure services that must continue being offered include water service, electricity, gas, communication. Importance of the communication increases now. The communication should not stop at the time of the large-scale disaster outbreak, it is demanded that restore quickly even if stop. The telephone service and network had to be nonstop until now for a lifeline including police (110) firefighting (119) for 365 days for 24 hours. I introduce the techniques of the high availability network that continue connecting a person to a person, which were developed by network service providers. I introduce fault processing switching to a stand-by machine at the time of hardware trouble, system restart processing at the time of the software abnormality, service non-stop file update processing. In addition, based on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the later nuclear plant accident, I mention about the study of the future high availability network. Using scaling location free of the application that Network Function Virtualization (NFV) to virtualize a network functions by software, it become possible to continue processing in the distant place at the time of the large-scale disaster. In addition, I show the expectation to the ad hoc network enabling the communication with the radio multi-hop between the terminals even if existing network infrastructure falls down. |
