Analysis of social networking service posts by the press for spreading worth of news article

Abstract(in English) With the spread of SNS , people acquired a variety of information source; News media, which has been the only source for current events, has now become one of the many, which includes people's tweets, posts, and shared photos. In this context, it has been said that readers select their source of information not by its "news value", which measures accuracy and credibility of the information, but by its "reader's value", which measures the amount of sympathy readers can acquire from each information. Although many assume that news websites have then started to deliver news articles that are more likely able to be "sympathized", this had not yet been proven. In this report, we compared the newspaper articles and online articles published by Asahi Shimbun and examined how much each online article spread via SNS. As a consequence, we saw that although Asahi Newspaper has delivered online articles with "reader's value" in concern, there existed the tendency of people sharing articles with high "news value" on SNS.
