Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In massive MIMO systems, there have already been a number of papers on 2-step beamforming that forms a precoder in a beam space with a limited number of beams. It is very important to use a proper shape of base beams and a proper criterion for beam selection. In the paper, we evaluate the performance dependency on beam shapes: a DFT based beam, Chebyshev weighted beams, and a Gaussian weighted beam. In addition, we test two different criteria for beam selection: a received power basis and an angle difference basis. The evaluation results show that higher throughputs can be provided by the Chebyshev beam and the angle-difference-based selection in most cases. |
