Abstract(in English) An image restoration method based on morphological gradients has been proposed. In this method, the sum of the morphological gradients has been introduced as an image prior in the regularization method and it is pointed out that possibility to select the structural elements suitable for image restoration. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to solve the regularization problem of images by optimizing the structural elements used for the morphological gradient. The genetic algorithm (GA) is applied to the optimization of the structural elements. The sub-gradient method which is one of the convex optimization is used for solving the regularization problem. In order to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method, the restoration result obtained by the proposed method is compared with that of the three structural elements.
